Boys 300m Intermediate Hurdles

Handheld times are not reflected on the all-time lists or records as they have been converted to fully automatic times.

Up until 1946 the event was the 220 yards low hurdles (30”).  From 1947 to 1974 the event became the 180 yards low hurdles (30”).  It was then changed in 1974 to the 330 yards low hurdles (30”) and in 1980 to the 300 meters low hurdles (30”).  In 1984 the event became the 300 meters intermediate hurdles (36”).  Frosh-Sophs ran the 120 yards low hurdles up until the 1970’s.  The conversion of 330 yards low hurdle times to 300 meters low hurdles is the subtraction of .2.  The conversion of 300 meters low hurdles to 300 meters intermediate hurdles is the addition of .5 seconds. Hand held times have added .14 of a second to convert to electronic timing.
