Boys 5000m

Prior to 1980 the 3 Mile run on the track was competed in invitational and open track meets.  It is now an archaic event as tracks are 400 meters.  Now, the 5,000 meters is competed in invitational and open track meets only.   It is not a CIF event, but is recognized as a high school event for statistical purposes.  A standard conversion factor of multiplying 1.03 to the 3 mile time to get the 5000 meter time is utilized  Both events and times are listed below.
